Blanche Pfefferkorn, at the time Director, Department of Studies, National League of Nursing Education, conducted a study of the nursing service provided in the Los Angeles County Hospital and the Los Angeles Osteopathic Hospital; and, since student nurses from the County General Hospital School of Nursing were receiving clinical training in the institution, the School of Nursing is included in the report's recommendations.

Pfefferkorn, Blanche, 1884-1961

Blanche Pfefferkorn (1884-1961) received her nursing diploma from the Johns Hopkins Hospital Nurses' Training School in 1911, and a BS degree from Columbia University in 1916. In 1928 she earned an MA in educational research from Columbia Teachers College. Pfefferkorn served as director of studies for the National League of Nursing Education for 17 years.
